Growing up in my family-owned commercial vehicle fleet, I have experienced many challenges in the operationally intensive business. Challenges include the high cost of operating and maintaining diesel vehicles, personnel management, and lack of insightful and actionable information. With these learnings, I started Boson with a vision of providing affordable, powerful electric vehicles to solve the most important problems for commercial and farm-based operations

Our Story
Boson Motors was born in 2017 in the heart of Silicon Valley, but its inspiration came from the heartland’s fields. Our co-founders, Arun Seelam and Suri Bhupatiraju, were software engineers at Google who grew up around farming and heavy equipment. Frustrated by the high cost of operating and maintaining diesel vehicles on the family farm, Arun envisioned a better way: bring Silicon Valley technology to rural America to solve real agricultural problems. In a small garage in San Jose, Boson Motors set out to reinvent the off-road vehicle for tomorrow – making it electric, smarter, and more affordable.
